Yeah, it's me
I own a very small business (I have three employees).  As a business owner that has done decently well in the last year (thanks in no small part to my employees), I want to show how thankful I am.  Now, of course, I understand that many company owners give away a ham or turkey or . . . something that obviously I don't have any intention of giving away.

Is there anyone here that has any ideas as to what I should give my employees as a grand "thank you"?  I really appreciate them, and want them to know that I do, but in a "vegetarian owner" kinda way.  Any ideas?

What a great idea to show your appreciation :)

I think a grocery store gift card is a nice gift that way they can buy whatever foods their families enjoy and if you do it to a local green grocery then that's doubly benefiting the economy :)

Otherwise you could give them a fruit arrangement like edible arrangements or some other gift basket that's vegetarian (I know Whole foods has a lot of options but there are plenty of other places that offer them too I'm sure).

I went with the grocery store gift card idea, and (as far as I can tell) it went over great!

My husband's employer gives gift cards.

I did the same, and it seemed to work out really well! The guys seemed really excited about it!

Awesome! I'm glad it worked out!

Gift cards, fruit or cookie baskets, or a group movie outing are nice. I've also attended parties thrown at Dave & Buster's type places that didn't seem to cost a lot but were tons of fun. Or maybe take them out to eat somewhere nice that's veg-friendly, since there's just a few of them? Depends on how close you are, but most folks can't go wrong with free alcohol. :)

BTW, I'm glad to hear that your business is doing well! In this economy, that's an incredible accomplishment!

Like I mentioned above, I went with the gift cards for the grocery store, and the guys seemed to really appreciate it!

Also, thanks for the positive thoughts! We are very fortunate to be doing so well considering how the economy has been.

That's amazing for your company, congratulations! :D

A department at my company recently did a fruit arrangement that was really nice, and had some other finger foods and so forth (some veggie, some obviously not). I think it's great that you want to reward them, and I'm sure they'd appreciate anything from a similar arrangement to gift cards to anything else. Ooh, or taking them all out to a local vegetarian restaurant! I know I'd be stoked for some free food, veg or (well, if I ate meat) not. ;)

I decided to go with a grocery store gift card (like a commenter above recommended) and the guys seemed to really appreciate it. I like the idea, because then they can choose what they want to do with the "thought" that is coming from their owner.

I also own a small (ok, more like extremely small hehehe) business, but mine just might be able to help you out with your dilemna :)

Hit here for the Healthy Chocolate option.

or hit here for any type of loose leaf tea that you can imagine!

Hope that helps, and merry Christmas!

Oooh! I don't think the guys that work for me would appreciate your stuff as much as my GF would. BUT, Valentine's Day is coming up and I might get something for her from there.
